What are Hemorrhoids
In the case of hemorrhoids, inflammation occurs in the veins present in the anus and rectum. This swelling may appear inside the rectum or around the anus. This is usually due to stress during passing the stool. The type of hemorrhoids depends on which part of the rectum.
Internal piles: This type of piles develops inside the rectum. Internal piles usually do not cause any serious condition but, sometimes, painless bleeding can occur.
External hemorrhoids: This type of hemorrhoids develops over the rectum. In such piles, itching also occurs with pain and sometimes cracks and blood may also occur.
Piles are not a serious and contagious disease. Usually, it is cured on its own or it can also be cured with medicines.
What are the causes of Piles?
- Tension during bowel movement
- Long sitting
- Chronic diarrhea or constipation
- Being overweight or obese
- While pregnant
- Eating a low fiber diet
What are the symptoms of hemorrhoids?
- Bleeding while passing stool
- Itching and burning in the anal region
- Pain and discomfort during stool pass
- Swelling around the anus
- A sensitive or painful lump near the anus
- Most pain is due to external hemorrhoids. There is usually no pain due to internal piles.
Home Remedies
- Eat a high fiber diet and drink plenty of water.
- Sit in a tub of hot water for 10 minutes several times a day.
- Do exercise.
- Keep the anal area (anal) clean.
- Do not use dry toilet paper.
- Use moist towels or wet toilet paper to clean the anus area after a bowel movement.
- Do cold compress to get relief from swelling.
